Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning to real-world practice, under supervision, to prepare for a Pharmacist role. You’ll follow a 120‑day training roadmap, contribute to safe and accurate dispensing, and support patient care across store operations.

Emphasis on patient safety, SOP adherence, and professional standards. You will learn through hands-on experience, with guidance from a preceptor and district leaders, while developing skills in error

Qualifications

• PharmD graduate from a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post‑Graduate Training Program at CVS Health.
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe; failure to obtain licensure within 120 days of graduation will result in separation of employment.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required.

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends.
• Complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Assist pharmacy team to ensure prescriptions are filled safely, accurately, and promptly.
• Counsel, field medical questions, and obtain patient history when appropriate under supervision.
• Take telephonic prescriptions and clarify prescriptions with the prescriber where allowed by state regulation.
• Provide immunizations and other services as required training and certification allow.
• Demonstrate empathy and professional communication with patients and team members.
