Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Graduate Pharmacy Intern to apply didactic learning in a real-world setting within our retail pharmacies. Under a preceptor and district leadership, you will complete a 120‑day training roadmap covering store, district, and regional operations while ensuring safe, timely, and accurate prescriptions with empathetic patient service.

You will learn SOPs, teamwork, and effective communication as you grow toward greater responsibilities in patient care and clinical support,

Qualifications

• PharmD graduate of a U.S. accredited program prior to beginning the Post‑Graduate Training Program at CVS Health.
• Ability to obtain required pharmacist licensure within the required timeframe, per state guidelines. Failure to obtain required Pharmacist licensure within 120 days of graduation will result in separation of employment.
• Must possess, or be in the process of obtaining, valid intern and/or technician licensure as required

Responsibilities

• Regular and predictable attendance, including weekends.
• Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe.
• Attention and Focus: concentrate on a task, pivot quickly between tasks, and confirm prescription information for accuracy.
• Customer Service and Team Orientation: help people in a friendly manner and understand patients' reactions.
• Communication Skills: use clear verbal and written communication with patients and colleagues.
• Mathematical Reasoning: calculate days supply, doses, and quantities for prescriptions.
• Problem Resolution: handle challenging patient or colleague interactions appropriately.
• Physical Demands: mobility, lifting up to 20 lbs, and sustained standing as needed.
• Any additional tasks as directed by Supervisor or Manager
