Job summary

Norwalk Hospital Association in Connecticut is seeking a dedicated pharmacy student or recent graduate to assist in medication procurement, preparation, and dispensing under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will participate in quality assurance, inventory management, IV admixture, and clinical tasks, while complying with USP standards and state regulations to support patient care.

Hospital experience is preferred but not required; internship license in CT or NY is required or

Qualifications

• Enrolled or recent graduate of an accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred but not required.
• Current pharmacy intern license in good standing with CT or NY Board of Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and complies with all state, federal and regulatory requirements for pharmacy and medication management.
• Performs monthly quality assurance activities.
• Operates pharmacy dispensing technology and troubleshoots problems/failures as appropriate.
• Assists in gathering and preparing medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
