Job summary

Qualifications

• Enrolled in an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy, end of 3 year or above.
• 1 year hospital pharmacy setting preferred.
• Pharmacy Intern Permit.

Responsibilities

• Assists pharmacist with preparing and dispensing medication.
• Mixes pharmaceutical preparations, fills bottles with prescribed tablets and capsules and prepares labels for bottles.
• Fills medications orders for individual patients under the direct supervision of a pharmacist.
• Receives and stores incoming supplies.
• Counts stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
• Prepares intravenous (IV) medication using sterile technique under the supervision of hospital pharmacists.
