Qualifications

• Willingness to obtain a Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm D) degree.
• Willingness to obtain pharmacist licensure from the boards of Pharmacy within the district within 90 days.
• Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Counsels patients and answers questions regarding dosage, adverse effects, interactions and privacy.
• Performs pharmacist tasks including compounding, drug therapy reviews, verification, and medication management.
• Ensures pharmacy operates in accordance with regulations and company policies; assists with procedures to promote efficient workflow; responsible for opening/closing and shift duties.
• Maintains knowledge of pharmacy systems (Intercom Plus, registers, automation, StoreNET) and proposes enhancements.
• Ensures accurate processing of insurance claims and follows up with insurers and providers.
• Performs immunizations, wellness services, and patient counseling to promote health.
