Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS, is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to assist in preparing medications for dispensing and to support pharmacy operations under a preceptor pharmacist.

You will work as part of a team, showing reliability and punctuality in all duties. Qualifications include enrollment in an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy, an active intern license if required, IV certification if state requires it, and BLS within 14 days of hire.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED.
• Enrolled in an ACPE-accredited College of Pharmacy.
• Active Registered Pharmacy Intern in good standing with the Board of Pharmacy, if required by state of employment.
• IV Certification or training, based on state requirements.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the technical and clinical aspects of preparing medications for dispensing and assist in pharmacy operations.
• Participate as a member of a team with reliability and punctuality.
• Perform related work as required.
• Maintain competency in compounding of sterile IV medications.
