Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System St. Francis Campus in Topeka, KS invites applications for a full-time clinical pharmacist.

You will optimize patient care through safe, cost-effective pharmaceutical services, including drug dispensing, the IV admixture program, and providing drug information, under supervision. Qualifications

• Pharmacist degree from ACPE-accredited program.
• Active pharmacist license in good standing.
• BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire; ALS/ACLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• The clinical pharmacist optimizes patient care by providing safe, cost-effective pharmaceutical services including drug dispensing and IV admixture; provides drug information, and works under the Director of Pharmacy/Operations Manager oversight.
• Oversees the work of pharmacy technicians, students, and support staff.

Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

Job Requirements:

• B.S. or Pharm D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy.
• Active Pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
• Other applicable state requirements – i.e., sterile compounding, etc.

• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.

• ALS/ACLS certification ( ALS/ACLS required for attending Code Blue).

Preferred Job Requirements:

• Doctor of Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited college of pharmacy.
• 1 year of inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
