Cencora is seeking a Pharmacy Intern to support clinical, compliance, and daily pharmacy operations while pursuing a Pharm.D. degree. The role emphasizes effective communication, teamwork, and multitasking within a community/institutional setting.

The position offers part-time hours (10–20 per week) onsite and mentoring from experienced pharmacists, with opportunities to develop hands-on skills and knowledge in pharmacology, medication management, and EHR systems.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) program.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on patient care.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Basic knowledge of pharmacology, medication management, and pharmacy law.
• Proficient in computer skills, including pharmacy software and EHR.

Job Details

Under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist or other supervisory/management-level position in the facility, obtains new patient’s clinical and prescription plan coverage information, review new prescription and/or prescription. This position is categorized as compliance critical and, as such, requires and is assigned specific responsibility for ensuring continual and proper compliance with all division, corporate and regulatory requirements.

Hours

Must be able to work 10-20 hours per week onsite while completing Pharmacy degree.

Work Environment

• The Pharmacy Intern will work in a community pharmacy within an institutional setting, interacting with a diverse patient population and collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
• Flexibility in scheduling is required, including availability for evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
