JobRx, Inc. is seeking a Pharmacy Student Intern in Garden City, Kansas. Location: Providence Medical Center - Kansas City, KS

We’re looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Pharmacy Student Intern to join our team. This opportunity provides a Pharmacy Student with the opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in a dynamic pharmacy environment, ideal for enhancing skills and expanding professional networks. Responsibilities

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):

  • Assists the Pharmacist in the support of the drug distribution systems including patient counseling and pharmacokinetic calculations
  • Participates in performance improvement and data collections activities
  • Responsible for dosage preparation, preparation of sterile admixture using aseptic technique, floor stock delivery, pre-packaging, billing, receiving, and stocking
  • Participates in providing pharmaceutical care for the following age groups: neonates, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
  • Other responsibilities include: inventory control, controlled substances distribution, documentation and accountability, assisting in the inspection of medication storage areas throughout the hospital, and maintaining the cleanliness of the department
  • All responsibilities are performed under the supervision of a licensed Pharmacist according to local board of pharmacy and state regulations
  • Performs other tasks as assigned by the Pharmacist
  • Verify prescriptions, fill them and package them, take payment, and interact with customers
Qualifications
