**CORE JOB SUMMARY**The Pharmacy Technician 2 prepares medications for patients under the guidance of a Pharmacist. Assists the Pharmacist with support activities and processes required to dispense medical prescriptions, price-checking, restocking of drugs, and assists with basic compounding.**CORE JOB FUNCTIONS**1. Assists pharmacists in filling orders and preparing labels for unit doses and prepackaged pharmaceuticals.3. Receives and stocks incoming medical supplies and drugs.4. Volunteers for extra assignments and/or cross training in other department roles and responsibilities of a pharmacy technician. May volunteer to participate in a temporary taskforce/short-term committee.7. Acts as an informal resource for other technicians with less experience.8. Provides support in the training of students and onboarding of new pharmacy technicians.9. Serves as a mentor and role model.10.
