Description

The Senior Pricing Associate works within the Financial, Actuarial and Analytics (FAA) team and closely with the Pharmacy Practice within Health and Benefits. As a Senior Pharmacy Pricing Associate, you will contribute to a wide variety of complex projects involving design, financing, and ongoing management of pharmacy benefit programs. This role offers excellent opportunities to grow your pharmacy and broader health and benefits financial acumen and client management skills by working on cutting-edge projects alongside industry leaders.

The Role

As a Senior Pricing Associate specializing in pharmacy, you will collaborate with top industry consultants, leveraging your experience while progressing toward becoming a future thought leader.

Your client assignments will utilize your creativity, data analysis skills, and ability to draw conclusions and present results. These experiences will enhance your technical knowledge and industry expertise.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  1. Partnering with consultants and team members to perform financial analyses, including cost savings, data analysis projections, and review and update of pricing and analytical models.
  2. Developing client analyses and related documents for WTW clients and prospects, including presentations and review of pharmacy contracts.
  3. Analyzing, comparing, and negotiating vendor products, services, contracts, and pricing guarantees.
  4. Designing, distributing, and evaluating responses to RFPs.
  5. Serving as lead project manager; contributing to project plan creation, leading team delivery, and ensuring progress against objectives, budgets, timelines, and quality standards.
  6. Supporting the pharmacy practice on intellectual capital initiatives, such as developing new financial models or tools.
  7. Assisting with the preparation and presentation of client deliverables.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in the design/management of large group pharmacy benefit plans, gained in consulting, brokerage, pharmacy benefit management, or carrier environments.
  • Strong financial skills; prior experience in pharmacy pricing, underwriting, or valuation is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably with significant quantitative coursework.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented.
  • Flexible with proven problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong client service orientation with effective and timely communication.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Strong analytical, creative, and integrative skills.
  • State Life and Health license required within 90 days of joining.
