Polaris Pharmacy Services, Livermore, CA, is seeking a Pharmacy Fill Technician to accurately prepare prescriptions and maintain an organized workspace. You will pick, label, scan, and finalize prescriptions for pharmacist verification, supporting smooth operations across a 24/7 pharmacy network.

The role requires reading and communicating in English, attention to detail, and adherence to HIPAA and safety policies. Prior LTC experience is a plus, with a 3:00pm–11:30pm shift and rotating weekends.

Competenze

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations.
Previous pharmacy experience preferred (one or more years of long-term care experience preferred).

Mansioni

Accuracy check of final preparation before pharmacist review.
Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently under pharmacist supervision.
Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure.

Job Summary

The Pharmacy Fill Technician accurately prepares prescriptions, including the careful picking, labeling, scanning, and final preparation of prescriptions for the pharmacist's verification. Additionally, they assist in maintaining a well-organized workspace and ensure compliance with regulations.

SCHEDULE

3:00pm - 11:30pm with rotating weekends

Duties/Responsibilities

Pull/pick medications from shelving and other medication storage areas (pre-pack racks)
Accuracy check of final preparation before presenting to the pharmacist
Fill daily drug orders accurately and efficiently and in a timely and prioritized manner, under the supervision of a pharmacist
Assist in processing returned drugs and recycle/dispose per procedure
Assist in pre-packing frequently ordered medications; label and stock as needed during low-volume times
Package materials and products manually
Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA
Maintain clean/organized workstation areas and replenish all stock supplies needed each shift
Alert the pharmacist on duty of any medication/product that is not scanning properly
Comply with departmental policies regarding safety, attendance, and dress code
Overtime, holidays, and weekends may be required and/or expected
Other duties as assigned; Job duties may vary depending on business needs

Knowledge of brand name/generic medications

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School diploma or equivalent required
Pharmacy technician licenses/certifications required by state regulations and state of practice.
Previous pharmacy experience preferred (one or more years of long-term care experience preferred)

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day
The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, bend, walk
May be necessary to work extended hours as needed
May lift and/or move up to 30 pounds

HOLIDAY & PTO POLICY

Paid holidays are provided annually, with 6 days offered each year, along with 5 sick days.
Employees earn up to 10 PTO days each year, with rollover options and milestone bonuses.
Employees have the option to cash out up to 10 PTO hours each quarter for added financial flexibility.

Please note, because we are a pharmacy most of our locations are open 24-hours a day, 7 days a week and therefore schedules may change as determined by the needs of the business.
