Americare Inc. in Tampa, FL is seeking a reliable Pharmacy Technician to join our team.

The role focuses on hands-on dispensing, counting, and packaging under pharmacist supervision, with experience in prescription data entry and insurance billing considered a strong plus. You will help maintain labeling accuracy, support inventory control, and assist with workflow through data entry and basic billing tasks as needed.

Qualifications

• Active Florida Pharmacy Technician Registration (RPhT) required; PTCB/ExCPT certification preferred.
• Previous experience in medication counting, packaging, and dispensing operations.
• Familiarity with prescription data entry, insurance claim billing, or LTC operations is highly desirable.
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and mathematical accuracy.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work effectively in a team environment.

Responsabilités

• Counting & Packaging: Accurately measure, count, bottle, and package oral medications and unit-dose pharmaceuticals under pharmacist supervision.
• Labeling & Assembly: Generate and affix accurate prescription labels, auxiliary warning tags, and safety packaging for outgoing orders.
• Dispensing Area Maintenance: Maintain clean, compliant work zones, sanitize counting equipment, and organize stock shelves in accordance with pharmacy standards.
• Inventory Control: Pull stock items for filling, restock workstations, track expiration dates, and monitor inventory levels.
• Workflow Support (Data Entry & Billing): Assist with prescription data entry and basic insurance claim adjudication/billing troubleshooting as operational needs arise.
