Job summary

The Boots Company PLC is seeking a Trainee Dispenser to join one of our stores. You will support the pharmacist and healthcare team to ensure safe and efficient pharmacy services, while you undertake Dispenser training (NVQ2).

This is a store-based role in the UK with full training provided; no prior experience required. Regular updates, career development opportunities, and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Desire to learn and complete the Dispenser training programme (NVQ2).
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.

Responsibilities

• Complete your training for the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 programme.
• Prescription dispensing while ensuring safe supply of medicines (ordering, labeling, dispensing, endorsing, collection).
• Work with healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate.
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
