Job summary

Symbria in Woodridge, IL is seeking a Pharmacy Dispatcher to be the main contact for pharmacy staff, drivers, and client communities to ensure timely pickup and delivery of medications.

You will coordinate dispatching, manage urgent deliveries, maintain schedules, handle inquiries, and ensure HIPAA compliance while collaborating with teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in dispatching, logistics, or a similar field; minimum one year.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with drivers, clients, and stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail for schedules and accuracy.
• Ability to adapt in a dynamic environment, make decisions, multi-task.
• Knowledge of pharmacy operations and HIPAA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate dispatching of pharmacy delivery drivers for timely medication delivery.
• Manage emergency/urgent orders and communicate with pharmacies, drivers, and customers.
• Maintain and optimize delivery schedules to meet demand and efficiency.
• Serve as primary contact for staff, drivers, clients, and external stakeholders.
• Maintain records and track delivery performance; prepare quality reports.
• Ensure accuracy of medication deliveries and address discrepancies.
• Adhere to pharmacy regulations, safety protocols, and HIPAA.
• Collaborate across teams to improve dispatch operations and service quality.
• Provide training and support to new dispatchers and drivers.
• Identify process improvements and best practices.
• Any and all duties as assigned.
