Job summary

Midland-Marvel Recruiters, LLC is seeking a Pharmacy Director for a community healthcare facility in Wisconsin. The role includes overseeing medication preparation, drug information systems, and coordination with Nursing and medical staff to ensure patient safety.

The position requires a Doctorate in Pharmacy (preferred), a Bachelor’s degree, and at least one year of leadership experience in a hospital setting, including aseptic technique certification within one year of employment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited pharmacy school.
• 1yr+ of Pharmacy leadership experience in a hospital setting.
• Certified in aseptic technique within 1 year of employment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare medications upon receipt of prescription for use within the facility and enter drug information into pharmacy systems to establish patient regimens.
• Procure pharmaceuticals and stock pharmacy and ancillary departments based on par levels; communicate drug information with Nursing staff.
• Oversee preparation and dispensing of medications and verify all medications dispensed from the pharmacy.
• Coordinate with nursing and physicians to complement patient care and ensure safe distribution of drugs.
• Responsible for procurement, storage, safe distribution, and dispensing of all drugs and drug products to offsite departments and staff.
• Report to Associate Administrator.

Prepares medication, upon receipt of prescription, for use within the facility. Enters drug information into pharmacy computers to establish patient drug regimes. Purchases pharmaceuticals and stocks pharmacy and ancillary departments with medications based on par levels. Communicates drug information with Nursing staff. Oversee the preparation and dispensing of medications. Checks all medications dispensed from the pharmacy. Communicate with nursing and physicians to compliment patient care. Responsibility for the procurement, storage, safe distribution, dispensing of all drugs and drug products to the offsite Emergency Department/Imaging Center staff, physicians, and patients. Reports to Associate Administrator
