PharMerica, part of BrightSpring Health Services, seeks a Pharmacy Director to lead day-to-day pharmacy operations and manage costs across locations. The role emphasizes team development, regulatory compliance, and strong client communication with hospital and long-term care partners.

Responsibilities include budgeting, process improvement, and reporting, while ensuring dispensing accuracy and performance targets. A bachelor’s degree is required, with MBA or PharmD preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• MBA and/or PharmD preferred.
• Management/supervisory experience required.
• P&L responsibility desirable.
• LTC (long-term care) experience desirable.
• Knowledge of pharmacy regulations desirable.

Responsibilities

• Controls pharmacy costs to meet or exceed budgeted cost per script.
• Provides leadership to build an effective team and develop associates.
• Maintains positive customer relationships and participates in quarterly business reviews.
• Communicates with clients (DONs, Administrators, Staff RNs) to resolve issues.
• Implements and reports on core processes.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Emphasizes dispensing efficiency and accuracy; manages dispensing processes.
• Manages staffing and scheduling to optimize production and contain labor costs.
• Oversees payroll and personnel issues; handles hiring and evaluations.
• Manages physical inventory to meet client requirements and company goals.
• Implements company, region and district policies and initiatives.
• Provides timely and accurate reports; performs other assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Works with Client Services and Sales team to effectively communicate with customers (DONs, Administrators, Staff RNs) and resolve customer issues.
• Implements, maintains and reports on core processes.
• Ensures pharmacy compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Emphasizes dispensing efficiency and accuracy with the workforce, and manages the dispensing process to exceed the Company’s goal.
• Manages the staffing and scheduling process to optimize production and contain labor costs.
• Manages pharmacy personnel issues including hiring, evaluations, discipline and separation, and monitors and approves payroll.
• Manages physical inventory to meet client requirements and Company goals.
• Implements Company, Region and District policies, processes and initiatives.
• Provides timely and accurate reports as required.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
• Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company’s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards.

Qualifications

Education/Learning Experience

• Required: Bachelor’s degree
• Desired: MBA; PharmD

Work Experience

• Required: Management/supervisory experience; experience in pharmacy/healthcare
• Desired: P&L responsibility; LTC experience.

Skills/Knowledge

• Required: Computer skills.
• Desired: Business/financial knowledge; knowledge of pharmacy regulations; LTC pharmacy ; performance management

Licenses/Certifications

• Required: As required by state regulations; clean driving record and proof of auto insurance
