Job summary

AbsoluteCare in New Orleans is hiring a Pharmacy Delivery Driver. Duties include delivering medications to patients, coordinating with the pharmacy and care teams, and maintaining delivery logs. Must have reliable transportation, a valid license, and the ability to perform duties in all weather.

This is a full-time W-2 role with benefits. You will work Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM with a guaranteed base of $15.00/hour plus $5.00 per completed delivery and mileage reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Satisfactory motor vehicle record.
• Must have reliable, legal transportation.
• Maintain valid driver's license and personal vehicle insurance.
• Basic computer skills including competency with Microsoft Outlook.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable driving in all weather conditions during day or night hours.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Work with pharmacy staff to ensure deliveries leave the pharmacy at the appropriate time and delivered to the designated location requested.
• Transport and deliver medication to patients in a safe and secure manner to prevent damage, spoilage, or loss.
• Maintain delivery log of activities per policy and procedure, which may include checking and/or logging recipient identification.
• Report status and any problems to pharmacy management.
• Ensure patient confidentiality.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, as well as the ability to multitask and work under limited supervision.

Job description

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (30-minute lunch)

Compensation:

$15.00 per hour guaranteed base pay, plus $5.00 for every completed delivery and mileage reimbursement.

Important: This position requires the use of your own personal vehicle for deliveries. Compensation includes a guaranteed base rate of $15.00 per hour, an additional $5.00 commission per completed delivery, and mileage reimbursement.

This is a W-2 employee position, not an independent contractor or 1099 role. Eligible employees receive benefits and 401(k) participation.

Job Summary This role works with our Pharmacy Team as well as our Care Teams to ensure all members receive their medications. This role will also be responsible to make deliveries to members who have not received their medications timely.

• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Prior delivery driving experience a plus.

Exposed to the diseases and infections of patients daily. May share workspace with other technicians and staff.
