Precision Pharmacy of Bellmore in Bellmore, NY is seeking a full-time Pharmacy Data Entry Specialist to manage intake and processing of prescription orders. You will enter medical data into our pharmacy system and verify insurance coverage before the pharmacist fulfills the prescription.

This role focuses on data management, billing, and provider communication, with no dispensing duties. You will set up patient profiles, maintain accurate demographics and insurance details, and ensure HIPAA

• Familiarity with medical databases, pharmacy software, or data-entry systems.

Responsibilities

• Convert prescription directions, abbreviations, doctor orders into the pharmacy system accurately.
• Set up, update, and audit digital patient profiles with insurance, allergies, and contact data.
• Act as a professional phone liaison to clarify prescription details with doctor offices.
• Flag duplicate therapies or missing data for pharmacist review.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and secure handling of confidential data.
