Job summary

WVU Medicine is seeking a Data Analytics/Pharmacy BI Analyst to design, implement, and optimize analytics solutions for the enterprise pharmacy operations. You will advocate for customer needs, assess analytical requirements, and collaborate with WVUHS management and pharmacy staff to deliver impactful insights.

The role requires experience with SQL/Oracle, Crystal Reports, Tableau, and SAP, plus strong communication and project coordination skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/Engineering/Business/Accounting/Finance/Hospital Administration and two years of pharmacy or data analytics experience.
Two years in data analysis and/or healthcare planning, preferably Pharmacy.
Two years with relational database structures and SQL/Oracle or Business Objects.
Experience with Crystal Reports and reporting tools.
EPIC Proficient designation within probation period.

Responsibilities

Understand database structure and BI tools to create analytics for the pharmacy team.
Serve as first point of contact for data analytics and process improvement for the pharmacy team.
Perform data analysis and create queries, programs and automation.
Use analytical methods to ensure data is meaningful and accurate.
Lead data requirements gathering for problem identification and solution design.
Maintain and test tracking software and pharmacy database for analysis.
