Job summary

Walgreens in Independence, KY is looking for a Pharmacy Clerk to deliver a distinctive customer experience and support pharmacists. You will greet customers, assist with products, and handle checkout with courtesy and efficiency.

You will also assist the pharmacy team by entering patient and drug information, processing prescriptions, and helping maintain inventory while keeping the store clean and well merchandised. Experience in retail is preferred and English fluency is required.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Six months of experience in a retail environment preferred.
• Prior Walgreens experience preferred.
• Good math skills for accurate dispensing and counting medications.
• Basic computer skills with pharmacy systems familiarity.
• PTCB certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and provide assistance to ensure a positive experience.
• Register sales at the cash register and handle payments, exchanges, and returns as needed.
• Assist pharmacist under supervision with entering patient and drug information and processing prescriptions.
• Maintain clean, stocked counters and shelves and ensure displays are merchandised.
• Support inventory and store operations, including routine clerical duties and order fulfillment.
• Provide customer service in photo area and assist with web pick-up duties as needed.
