Customer Experience
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services. Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Models and shares customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience, including interpersonal habits (e.g., greeting, eye contact, courtesy, etc.) and Walgreens service traits (e.g., offering help proactively, identifying needs, servicing until satisfied, etc.).
Operations
- Provides customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
- Recommends items for sale to customers and suggests trade-up or companion items.
- Handles transactions at the cash register, including collecting cash, giving change, and processing refunds, exchanges, and voids. Assists customers in locating products when possible.
- Maintains cleanliness and organization of counters and shelves, manages inventory, and ensures accurate pricing and labeling of merchandise.
- Supports pharmacy operations by entering patient and drug information, filling prescriptions, verifying medication accuracy, and checking for interactions, under supervision. Assists pharmacists with scheduling and workflow management.
- Immediately reports prescription errors to the pharmacist and adheres to company policies regarding pharmacy errors and quality improvement. Complies with the Pharmacy Code of Conduct and Good Faith Dispensing policies.
- Handles non-urgent phone calls, including those to physicians, and processes third-party prescription claims efficiently.
- Supports pharmacy inventory activities, including ordering, unpacking, and storing pharmaceuticals. Maintains knowledge of asset protection techniques and files claims for discrepancies or damages.
- Ensures compliance with laws regarding regulated products like alcohol and tobacco.
- Creates and maintains displays for promotions, seasons, and sales, and performs resets as needed.
- Assists with food product placement and stock rotation following safety and quality standards.
- Operates store systems and equipment competently.
- Provides customer service in the photo area, including passport photos, poster prints, and promotional products.
- Manages web order pickups, including monitoring, filling, and delivering orders.
- Maintains store cleanliness and appearance, and fosters respectful coworker relationships.
- Completes assigned tasks and special projects as directed.
Training & Personal Development
- Maintains PTCB certification and/or state registration through ongoing training and continuing education.
- Attends training sessions, completes required coursework, and stays informed about healthcare and pharmacy developments.
Additional requirements include fluency in English (except in Puerto Rico) and a willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
