Job summary

Walgreens in Sierra Vista, AZ is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists and deliver accurate prescription processing and customer service.

You will assist in filling prescriptions under supervision, perform cashier duties, and help maintain store operations, inventory, and compliance. Candidates should have a basic understanding of pharmacy systems, strong math, and good communication; PTCB training is preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer good math skills for counting, measuring and weighing medications.
• Prefer good computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist pharmacists in dispensing under supervision and enter patient and drug information.
• Process prescriptions by retrieving, counting and pouring medicines; check for interactions.
• Provide courteous, friendly checkout service and assist customers with products and services.
• Receive and process payments, returns, and exchanges; help locate items and maintain displays.
• Maintain inventory and store cleanliness; learn store systems and equipment.
