Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer good math skills for counting, measuring and weighing medications.
• Prefer basic computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides courteous checkout service.
• Assists pharmacist under direct supervision in the practice of pharmacy and uses pharmacy systems to process prescriptions.
• Enter patient and drug information and verify medicine accuracy, assisting in workflow.
• Handle prescription errors, follow policies, and support quality improvement.
• Maintain inventory and merchandising, stock rotation, and displays.
• Provide customer service across store areas including photo services and web pick-up.
• Support Pharmacy Department on inventory management and order processing.
