Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to support pharmacists in dispensing medications and delivering customer-focused service at our Louisiana location. The role emphasizes accurate prescription processing, patient information handling, and ensuring compliance with pharmacy procedures.

Responsibilities include greeting customers, assisting with product questions, and handling transactions while maintaining store standards and teamwork with the Pharmacy Manager and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
• Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
• Prefer to have prior work experience with Walgreens.
• Prefer good math skills for accurate prescription filling.
• Prefer good computer skills.
• Prefer knowledge of store inventory control.
• Prefer PTCB certification.

Responsibilities

• Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
• Registers sales on assigned cash register and provides courteous checkout service.
• Assists the pharmacist under supervision in the practice of pharmacy and uses pharmacy systems to process prescriptions.
• Engages customers by greeting and offering assistance with products and services; resolves issues to ensure positive experience.
• Performs duties assigned by Pharmacy Manager and Staff Pharmacist, including using pharmacy systems to enter patient and drug information and fill prescriptions.
