Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant to provide courteous, efficient checkout service and assist the pharmacist under supervision in dispensing prescriptions. You will use pharmacy systems to retrieve patient and drug information, handle insurance and inquiries, and help maintain accurate records.

The role requires English fluency, flexibility for evenings/weekends, and comfort with computer systems. Prior retail or Walgreens experience is a plus, with opportunities for growth and training.

Qualifications

• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (must).
• Willing to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
• Prefer six months of retail experience; prior Walgreens experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Registers sales at the cash register and delivers courteous checkout service.
• Assists the pharmacist under direct supervision in processing prescriptions.
• Uses pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions.
• Maintain clean, well-merchandised counters and shelves; assist customers in locating products.
• Supports Pharmacy Department with inventory management and order processing.
