Job summary

Roanoke Chowan Community Health Center seeks a Pharmacy Courier/Medication Delivery Driver to safely deliver prescribed medications to patients’ homes and designated sites. You will ensure privacy, security, and reliable service while maintaining professional interactions with patients and staff.

The role is grant-funded, on-site, and non-exempt, requiring attention to detail and adherence to HIPAA and RCCHC policies. A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are essential.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a valid driver’s license and a clean or acceptable driving record.
• The ideal candidate will have experience in courier, delivery, pharmacy, healthcare, or customer service.
• Must follow written and verbal instructions with excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must maintain confidentiality regarding patient information.
• Proficiency using a smartphone, iPad, and GPS/navigation apps.

Responsibilities

• Pick up prescription medications and pharmacy orders from designated pharmacy locations.
• Deliver medications accurately, safely, and on schedule to patients, caregivers, and other authorized recipients.
• Verify delivery information and ensure medications are delivered to the correct recipient and address.
• Maintain the confidentiality and privacy of patients and prescription information.
• Handle medications carefully and maintain security during transportation.
• Follow all company policies and applicable federal, state, and local regulations regarding medication delivery.
