Job description

Title: Pharmacy Coordinator 1
Location: Remote
Duration: 06 Months
Job description:
  1. Perform review of pharmacy and override process in compliance with pharmaceutical-related company and State guidelines.
  2. Track and trend overrides to ensure criteria have been met, audit for prior authorizations, analyze costs, and determine utilization patterns.
  3. Resolve complaints and grievances related to the pharmacy network in conjunction with the Pharmacy team.
  4. Assist Provider Relations and various departments with educating providers on the health plan's pharmacy process.
  5. Assist with pharmacy utilization review and reporting processes.
  6. Collaborate with the Quality Improvement department on various meeting preparations and transcription of minutes.
  7. Assist members with inquiries related to the formulary process.
  8. Perform other duties as assigned.
  9. Comply with all policies and standards.
Education/Certification
  • Required: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Preferred: N/A.
Licensure
  • Required: N/A.
  • Preferred: Pharmacy Technician license.
Experience & Skills
  • Must haves:
    • Medicare Part-D & Prior authorization experience.
    • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook).
    • Pharmacy experience, preferably in a managed care or retail environment.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Nice to haves:
    • Medicare experience.
