Job summary

State of Ohio Board of Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Board Compliance Specialist for the East Region, based in Mahoning or Stark County. The role involves inspections, investigations, and counseling to ensure compliance with drug laws. Training is provided in Columbus, with travel to field assignments.

The initial probationary period is 365 days; starting salary is set at the pay range's Step 1, with relocation requirements to Mahoning or Stark within 180 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Licensed pharmacist with State Board of Pharmacy license and 5+ years of experience.
• Experience in hospital settings (ER/OR/ICU) with sterile compounding preferred.
• Driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections of pharmacies and drug establishments for compliance with state and federal laws.
• Investigate complaints and support enforcement actions.
• Provide counseling to pharmacists and distributors to ensure compliance.
• Assist in pursuing prosecutions when needed.
• Provide drug information to pharmacists, distributors and the public.
