Job summary

Brookshire Brothers is seeking a Pharmacy Clerk to support the pharmacist and pharmacy technician by taking prescriptions from customers when appropriate and operating the register for drug sales.

The role emphasizes high standards of customer service, professional appearance, and strict confidentiality of pharmacy records. Training will be provided as determined by the Pharmacy Manager and District Director.

A Pharmacy Clerk is responsible for assisting the pharmacist and the pharmacy technician in physically taking prescriptions from the customer when legally and professionally advisable. The Pharmacy Clerk is responsible for operating a register for the sale of prescribed and over the counter drugs.

• Assist the customer with the purchase of over the counter drugs
• Order stock, stock shelves
• Handle sales transactions with the customer
• Abide by the department confidentiality policy in regards to pharmacy records, customer records, and all other aspects of the pharmacy.
• Assist in various other activities as directed by the general operation of the store as needed, such as answering the telephone, taking prescriptions from customers, etc.

EDUCATION AND/OREXPERIENCE - Must have acceptable training as determined by the Pharmacy Manager and/or the Pharmacy District Director.
