Job summary

Kinney Drugs in Lyndon, VT is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to assist pharmacy staff with triage of prescriptions, delivery to patients, and cashier duties. You will work under direct supervision of a pharmacist and follow standard procedures to complete tasks.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED; AS degree is preferred. Vermont registration as a Pharmacy Technician is requested or required, with hospital or retail pharmacy experience a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum: High School Diploma (or currently enrolled) or GED.
• Preferred: AS Degree or higher.
• Registration as Pharmacy Technician with Vermont is preferred/required depending on role.

Responsibilities

• Assist in triaging incoming prescriptions.
• Verify and gather patient information (name, address, phone, DOB, allergies, chronic conditions, insurance).
• Assess workload, set pickup time and queue prescriptions for processing.
• Assist in delivering prescriptions to patients and obtain signatures.
• Perform cash register duties in the Pharmacy Department.
• Provide quality customer service to all customers.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Keep current with State and Federal employment requirements.
• Perform store clerk duties as needed.
• Complete all mandatory and regulatory training programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
