Job summary

Hy-Vee Pharmacy is hiring a Pharmacy Clerk to support daily operations, assist customers, stock and order supplies, handle cash transactions, and keep the pharmacy area clean and organized. Night and weekend shifts are required, and vaccines may be administered where permitted, with current certification.

• Follow written, verbal, or diagrammatic instructions with attention to detail.
• Add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers accurately.
• Maintain confidentiality of patients' information.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and greet customers with a smile.
• Answer telephone calls and take refill orders.
• Gather patient information required to prepare prescriptions.
• Stock received product and keep pharmacy supplies well stocked.
• Review prescriptions not picked up by customers as directed by management.
• Order products and review invoices for received stock.
• Log invoices and complete cash transactions accurately.
• Prepare paperwork and assemble medicines for delivery orders and mail-outs.
• Coordinate nursing home medicines as necessary.
• Administer vaccines where permitted with required certification.
• Maintain a clean and inviting pharmacy environment.
• Uphold HIPAA/privacy standards and protect patient data.
• Collaborate with team to ensure customer satisfaction.
