Job Overview

In the Pharmacy Clerk role, you will work under the supervision of the Pharmacist-in-Charge or Lead Clerk. You will manage the front desk of the pharmacy and provide customer service to our patients.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate all forms of delivery of patient medications
• Maintain organization of prescription hard copies
• Answer or transfer phone calls to appropriate pharmacy associate
• Coordinate delivery schedules and communications with delivery drivers and courier service
• Regularly communicate delivery updates to patients and the pharmacy
• In charge of the cash registers when processing transactions in the pharmacy
• Document important notes and patient information in the pharmacy software
• Demonstrate adaptability to any changes in deliveries as needed
• Resolve any patient issues, going above and beyond
• Occasionally operate personal vehicle to deliver emergency packages to client homes, care facilities, or any other predetermined locations
• Follow all federal, state, and local laws, as well as HIPAA regulations
• Perform ad hoc tasks as required
