Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Pharmacy Support Associate in Buffalo, NY. This is a contract-to-hire, fully onsite role supporting prescription fulfillment in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include filling prescriptions, picking/packing orders, and using scanners and inventory systems. The candidate should have entry-level pharmacy experience and good data-entry, math, and customer-service skills.

Qualifications

Job Title: Pharmacy Support Associate

Join a fast-paced, automated pharmacy environment where accuracy, efficiency, and patient safety come first! We’re looking for detail-oriented individuals to support prescription fulfillment and ensure medications reach patients safely and on time.

• Fill prescription medications (tablets & capsules) with high accuracy
• Pick, pack, and process medication orders using inventory systems
• Use handheld scanners and computer tools to track and verify orders
• Ensure correct drug, strength, and quantity for every prescription
• Maintain workflow to meet daily production goals
• Support a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Required Skills

• Entry level Experience in pharmacy, data entry, order entry, filling, and pharmacy support.
• Knowledge in medication refills and customer service.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Visual acuity to read computer screens, handheld scanners, and labels.

Work Environment

• This position requires working on the following schedule: Sunday from 9 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday and Wednesday from 9 AM to 2 PM, and Friday from 9 AM to 5:30 PM, with mandatory overtime as needed. The work is conducted in a dynamic pharmacy environment that demands precision and attention to detail. Dress code and safety protocols must be adhered to at all times.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Buffalo, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr.
