Job summary

Palomar Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician focused on charge capture and accurate billing within the Pharmacy department. The role centers on manual entry of charges not driven by clinical documentation and requires careful attention to detail to ensure accurate patient charges.

The incumbent will perform routine auditing and reconciliation, collaborate with Pharmacy leadership to identify process improvements, and maintain documentation of barriers and their effects.

Qualifications

• Minimum education as required by certification and/or licensure.
• Preferred education not applicable.
• Minimum experience: 6 months in pharmacy charging services.
• Preferred experience: 6+ months in hospital charging environment in acute care.

Responsibilities

• Enter charges manually for items not driven by clinical/system documentation.
• Perform auditing and reconciliation of charges.
• Communicate with Pharmacy leadership to address auditing needs and barriers.
• Support billing, charging, and credits following system procedures.
• Track floor stock charges and report figures to Finance.
