A Brief Overview
In accordance with state and federal regulations, responsible for data entry, patient registration, and resolving third party rejects in a call center setting. Works under supervision to handle high-volume customer inquiries, adhering to HIPAA guidelines and company policies. Supports pharmacists, maintains records, and operates pharmacy systems efficiently.
What you will do
- 1. Perform data entry for patient registration and prescription orders, troubleshoot issues, and resolve third party rejects.
- 2. Operate computerized data systems for order entry, claims adjudication, and insurance management.
- 3. Facilitate pharmacy services through calls with patients, ensuring education and delivery transactions.
- 4. Serve as a liaison between patient care units and pharmacy, ensuring responsive and courteous communication.
- 5. Assist pharmacists and communicate issues to senior staff.
- 6. De-escalate conflicts and provide patient assistance as needed.
- 7. Monitor performance and adjust activities to meet productivity standards.
- 8. Conduct initial research of pharmacy issues and upscale complex cases to higher-level staff.
- 9. Review and process prescription claims for accuracy and adherence to guidelines.
- 10. Identify and resolve issues affecting service and business operations.
- 11. Foster teamwork and maintain a positive work environment.
- 12. Assist with training new hires in the call-center and attend required training sessions.
- 13. Operate computer systems and general office equipment.
- 14. Manage correspondence with patients and prescribers, including inbound and outbound calls and emails.
- 15. Assist pharmacists with technical pharmacy services, including packaging medications and maintaining records.
- 16. Prepare and fill prescriptions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
- 17. Handle transportation and storage of pharmacy items, ensuring accurate delivery to patient care units.
Qualifications
- Completion of Pharmacy Technician program or equivalent education Required
- PHRMTECH-R - Registered Pharmacy Technician Required
- PHAR-C - Certified Pharmacy Tech Required
- At least 1 year experience as a Pharmacy Technician Required
