Regional One Health's PCS Pharmacy in Memphis is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to perform technical pharmacy services under supervision of a licensed pharmacist. You will prepare unit dose medications, label IV products, perform order entry, maintain records, and deliver medications while ensuring HIPAA and safety standards.
Requires national certification like PTCB or NHA and TN Pharmacy Tech License; entry may include 1 year experience or completion of a technician program.

Provides assistance and performs technical pharmacy services under supervision of licensed pharmacist and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Prepares and fills prescriptions and medication orders, maintaining appropriate legal and departmental records; computes records, patient charges and credits patients for unused drugs.
Operates computerized data systems.
Receives, transports and stores necessary pharmacy-related items to and from pharmacy areas as well as to and from other hospital pharmacies and nursing units as assigned.
Assists in inventory control including ordering stock rotation and return of outdated medications.
Maintains a safe and orderly arrangement of pharmaceuticals and supplies in the pharmacy and nursing areas and maintains a clean and neat work area.
Maintains confidentiality in matters relating to patient/family, department and hospital information. Adheres to established department and organization policies (i.e. HIPAA, Confidentiality, and Compliance Policies).
Works effectively and serves as intermediary between patient care units and pharmacy; answers calls and accepts requests; collects and delivers medication orders, UD cassettes and any other items as assigned.
Maintains a clean, orderly, safe environment to minimize risk to patients and staff by complying with all safety/risk management policies and procedures. Adheres to established policies, compliance/quality improvement, and safety, environment and infection control standards.
Completes required continuous training and education, including department specific requirements. Responds to problems/opportunities to improve work environment and participates in unit based performance improvement activities.
Provides support to pharmacy and other ancillary personnel to provide clinical assistance as needed. Assists in the orientation and supervision of students when they provide patient care, treatment and services as part of their training.
Provides coverage for relief and absences. Demonstrates flexibility to work night, weekend and holiday to provide continuous pharmacy coverage as required.
