Job summary

Aiken Regional Medical Centers, part of Universal Health Services, seeks a Pharmacy Buyer to manage procurement, inventory, and distribution of medications and supplies. You will coordinate with vendors, process orders, and ensure timely delivery to support patient care.

Responsibilities include maintaining systems, addressing shortages, recalls, and ensuring accurate records. A high school diploma plus relevant certifications are required or preferred, with healthcare purchasing experience

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required; associates degree preferred.
• PTCB or equivalent certification preferred.
• South Carolina Pharmacy Technician Certification required.
• Advanced purchasing experience in healthcare is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate drug procurement and inventory to ensure critical drug availability.
• Maintain inventory levels and optimize turnover; handle backorders and recalls.
• Process purchase orders and distribute supplies to Pharmacy Department.
• Collaborate with hospital departments for medication ordering and record keeping.
