Job summary

Laredo Medical Center in Laredo, TX is seeking a Pharmacy Technician - Procurement Specialist to coordinate the ordering of pharmaceuticals, supplies, materials, equipment and services for the Pharmacy and various departments.

The ideal candidate will hold Pharmacy Technician licensure, Texas registration, and strong communication and analytical skills; experience in healthcare purchasing is highly desired.

Qualifications

• Certification and licensure as a Pharmacy Technician required.
• Texas State Board of Pharmacy registration required.
• Five years of healthcare experience preferred.
• Two-year degree preferred but not required; business/accounting coursework desirable.

Job Title: Pharmacy Technician - Procurement Specialist

Location: Laredo, TX

Requirements:

• Certification and Licensure as a Pharmacy Technician
• Registered with the Texas State Board of Pharmacy
• Five (5) years of experience in a healthcare setting
• Three (3) to five (5) years of purchasing experience may be substituted in lieu of formal training or education
• Pharmacy Technician License
• Valid Texas driver's license
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing
• Computer literate with excellent communication and analytical skills
• Preferred: L-TX-Pharmacy Tech certification, BLS (AHA), C-PTCB Pharmacy Tech CPhT certification
• Two (2) year degree is preferred, but not required
• College coursework with an emphasis in business or accounting-related courses is highly desirable
• Knowledge of medical/surgical supplies and equipment is highly desirable

Pay Range:
