Job summary

Deaconess Health System in Evansville, Indiana seeks a Pharmacy Business Support Specialist who combines operations, data analysis, purchasing, and compliance to keep pharmacy functions efficient.

You’ll analyze data, prepare reports and dashboards, support 340B programs, regulatory audits, and collaborate with pharmacy leaders and staff to improve processes, manage inventories, and ensure accurate, timely tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Pharmacy Technician or Pharmacy Technician-in-Training license in the applicable state.
• Certified Pharmacy Technician designation within 30 days of employment, unless exempted by manager discretion.
• Strong computer, database, and Microsoft Excel skills.
• Excellent organization, communication, and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Preferred: College degree in business or related field.
• Preferred: Experience with healthcare operations, purchasing, inventory, data analysis, compliance, or project management.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate purchasing, receiving, inventory, and supplier relationships.
• Process orders, invoices, and financial transactions while resolving discrepancies.
• Analyze data and create reports, spreadsheets, and dashboards to support pharmacy operations and quality initiatives.
• Support 340B, controlled substance diversion monitoring, regulatory compliance, audits, and inspections.
• Coordinate required clinical quality data collection, reporting, and submissions.
• Partner with pharmacy leaders, physicians, staff, suppliers, and other departments to identify trends and improve processes.
• Communicate medication recalls, shortages, and compliance concerns.
• Assist as a Pharmacy Technician when needed to support drug distribution.
• Maintain confidentiality and ensure accurate, timely completion of assigned work.

Are you organized, analytical, and passionate about healthcare? The Pharmacy Business Support Specialist helps keep pharmacy operations running efficiently across Deaconess Health System through a combination of business operations, data analysis, purchasing, compliance, and pharmacy support.

Your area of focus may include Purchasing & Inventory, 340B, Charge Validation, Regulatory Compliance, or Stewardship.
