Job summary

• Oversee business, financial, and strategic growth functions of the Pharmacy Department across SMHCS (acute care, ambulatory, infusion, long-term care and retail)
• Assist in medication-related supply chain and financial management, including purchasing, inventory, vendor relations, GPOs, standardization, and budget preparation
• Collaborate with Finance and other ancillary departments as primary contact within pharmacy for financial information systems and reporting

Job Summary

This leader has operational accountability and oversight for the business, financial, and strategic growth functions of the Pharmacy Department across the Sarasota Memorial Health Care System (SMHCS), including acute care, ambulatory, infusion, long-term care, and retail settings. This position will assist in all aspects of medication-related supply chain and financial management, including medication and supply purchasing, inventory management, vendor management, group purchasing organization (GPO) and wholesaler relationships, standardization, supply-chain related information systems and technology, preparation of the capital and operating budgets, preparation of the workload budget, and monthly variance reporting. Additionally, they will serve as the primary contact within pharmacy for the Finance team and work collaboratively with other ancillary departments.

Required Qualifications

• Require a bachelor's degree in business, finance, healthcare administration and a minimum of five (5) years of experience in healthcare business operations, pharmacy analytics, or financial management; or a master's degree in business or healthcare administration and two (2) years of experience.

Preferred Education

• MBA: Master of Business Admin
• MHA: Masters in Health Admin

Preferred License and Certs

• PMP: Project Management Prof
• SIGMA: 6 Sigma
