Overview

JOB SUMMARY

This job leads and/or participates in the development and execution of key strategic initiatives for Pharmacy Services. The incumbent engages in multiple cross-functional projects and will be expected to work in a collaborative, highly matrixed manner. Directs the opportunity analysis and outcomes reporting for pharmacy's strategic initiatives. In the course of contributing to these projects, the incumbent may be expected to fulfill many different types of roles, ranging from project leadership, problem-solving, data analysis and interpretation, providing recommendations, communicating project updates to the pharmacy leadership team and completing implementation tasks within the specified timeframe. Builds relationships with personnel in other business units of the organization, and will be expected to work with little to no supervision. Will likely play a supportive role in shaping the overall strategy and value proposition for Pharmacy Services and is also expected to serve as a mentor to less experienced members of the Pharmacy business team.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct opportunity analyses and use these analyses to develop the strategic plan for pharmacy.
  • Interface with stakeholders in other business areas to advance strategic initiatives for pharmacy services.
  • Conduct outcomes analyses for strategic initiatives to determine how the initiative is performing relative to predetermined goals.
  • Provide project updates to Pharmacy management.
  • Serve as a mentor to less experienced members of the Pharmacy team.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education

Required

  • Bachelor\'s Degree in Business Administration/Management, Finance, Economics, Healthcare or related field, or relevant experience and/or education as determined by the company in lieu of bachelor\'s degree

Preferred

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree (Pharm D) or Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
  • Master\'s Degree in Business Administration/Management, Finance, or Economics
Experience

Required

  • 5 - 7 years Managed Care

  • Registered Pharmacist or PharmD

Pay Range Minimum: $78,900.00

Pay Range Maximum: $147,500.00

Base pay is determined by a variety of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expected contributions, as well as internal peer equity, market, and business considerations. The displayed salary range does not reflect any geographic differential Highmark may apply for certain locations based upon comparative markets.
