Job summary

Baldwin Family Health Care in Michigan is seeking a detail-oriented Pharmacy Business Office Assistant to support the financial and operational functions of our pharmacy services. This role focuses on billing, accounts receivable, medication ordering, and inventory coordination to help ensure efficient operations and revenue integrity across our pharmacy and clinical teams.

You will work with pharmacy leadership, finance and clinical staff; maintain records for audits; uphold HIPAA and safety

Qualifications

High school diploma required; associate degree or equivalent experience preferred.
Prior pharmacy or healthcare business office experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge of insurance billing and pharmacy workflows.
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with pharmacy or billing software a plus.
Michigan Pharmacy Technician License and PTCB certification preferred (training available for required certifications, including 340B).

Responsibilities

Process and reconcile pharmacy billing, payments, and accounts receivable
Follow up on unpaid or denied claims and communicate with third-party payers
Coordinate ordering, delivery, and inventory tracking of clinic-administered medications
Support cold-chain management, DSCSA documentation, and medication compliance
Maintain accurate records for audits, inspections, and regulatory requirements
Collaborate with pharmacy leadership, finance, and clinical staff
Uphold HIPAA, safety standards, and organizational customer service expectations
