Job summary

Guardian Pharmacy of Utah is seeking a dedicated Pharmacy Billing Specialist to join our growing team in West Valley City, UT. You will verify patient eligibility, enter data into the billing system and support claims processing in a fast-paced environment.

In this role you will audit patient files, respond to billing inquiries, and help residents compare Medicare plans to save money. The ideal candidate has 1+ year of related experience and a pharmacy tech credential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Pharmacy Technician license/certification per state requirements; National Certification preferred (PTCB).
• 1+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Research and establish patient eligibility coverage with insurance providers and enter/update patient information.
• Maintain and audit patient files for third-party audits and payer compliance.
• Respond to billing inquiries and resolve insurance eligibility and coverage questions.
• Run Medicare plan comparisons during open enrollment and evaluate options to save residents money.
• Process daily census, admissions, discharges and room changes for facilities.
• Process payments, returns and credits; handle delinquent accounts as needed.
• Research and organize audit documentation; perform adjudication of prescription claims with insurers.
