Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent and valid state pharmacy technician license.
• 3+ years in hospital or retail pharmacy preferred.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and drug billing.
• Excellent English communication, both written and spoken.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and pharmacy software.
• Ability to work independently and in a team with attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate prior authorization for injectable drugs with Prominence Health Plan, members, and providers.
• Verify diagnoses, billing codes, and verify dose and frequency accuracy.
• Perform provider outreach to obtain documentation for coverage determinations.
• Support efficient pharmacy workflow and improve member/provider satisfaction.
