Job summary

The University of Washington (UW) is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant at UW Medical Center-Montlake in Seattle. This full-time role supports pharmacists with medication preparation, packaging, and related duties under supervision.

You will help patients with intake of new prescriptions and refills, handle point‑of‑sale transactions, and assist with delivering medications to patient care areas, stocking shelves, and processing third-party payments.

Qualifications

• High School graduation or GED Certificate OR equivalent education/experience.
• State of Washington Pharmacy Assistant registration.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with intake of new prescriptions and refills.
• Perform point of sale duties and maintain accurate monetary transactions of cash, credit and check payments.
• Delivery of medications to patient care areas or other areas of the clinic; assist staff with stock orders.
• Assist patients with alternate sources of payment if required.
• Perform charging and/or billing functions, including third party payer adjudication.
• Pull 14‑day prescriptions from will-call area and make day 9 reminder calls to patients.
