Job summary

PharMerica in Spokane, WA is hiring a Full Time Pharmacy Assistant for a non-retail, closed‑door environment serving long‑term care and senior living clients. The schedule is Sunday to Thursday, 10:00am–6:30pm, with benefits including health/dental/vision and more.

You will assist with drug preparation and dispensing under direct pharmacist supervision, perform labeling and inventory tasks, and ensure compliance with state regulations and internal policies.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent is required.
• Previous experience in a long‑term care pharmacy is preferred.
• Ability to operate a computer is required.
• Ability to recognize and identify medications is strongly preferred.
• Ability to obtain a Pharmacy Assistant License, as required by government regulations and business needs.
• Must be detail oriented, goal oriented, team player, with verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Fills prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, packaging medications for dispensing and for delivery, meeting accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacy.
• Labels products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels.
• Participates in the periodic inventory of the pharmacy.
• May check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves and remove out‑of‑date items from the inventory.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
• Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with company policies, laws and professional standards.
