BrightSpring Health Services Corporation is hiring a Full-Time Pharmacy Assistant in Spokane, WA to join a closed-door, non-retail pharmacy team serving long-term care and senior living clients. You will support drug preparation under a Pharmacist, with duties including labeling, inventory, and compliance with regulations.

The role requires a WA Pharmacy Assistant License, HS diploma, strong attention to detail, and good communication.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in a long-term care pharmacy preferred.
• Ability to operate a computer required.
• Ability to recognize and identify medications strongly preferred.
• Ability to obtain a Pharmacy Assistant License as required by regulations.
• Must be detail oriented, goal oriented, team player, with verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Fills prescription items and packages medications for dispensing and delivery.
• Labels products appropriately with cautions and auxiliary labels.
• Participates in periodic inventory of the pharmacy.
• May check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves, and remove outdated items.
• Performs other tasks as assigned.
• Complies with the Company's Code of Business Conduct and applicable laws.

Our pharmacy group focuses on providing exceptional customer service and meeting the pharmacy needs for hospitals, rehabilitation hospitals, long-term acute care hospitals, and other specialized care centers nationwide.

Responsibilities

Our Pharmacy Assistant assists with drug preparation and dispensing under the direct supervision of a Pharmacist and in accordance with state pharmacy regulations. This person:

• Fills prescription items, as permitted by the State Board of Pharmacy, packaging medications for dispensing and for delivery, meeting accuracy and productivity standards of the pharmacy
• Labels products appropriately, including cautionary or auxiliary labels
• Participates in the periodic inventory of the pharmacy
• May check in drugs and supplies, stock shelves and remove out-of-date items from the inventory
• Performs other tasks as assigned
• Conducts job responsibilities in accordance with the standards set out in the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, its policies and procedures, the Corporate Compliance Agreement, applicable federal and state laws, and applicable professional standards
