Job summary

Duke Health is seeking a Pharmacy Business Analyst to support the financial, operational, and analytical functions of the pharmacy enterprise at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. This role partners with Pharmacy, Finance, Revenue Cycle, IT, Compliance, and Supply Chain to drive data-driven decision-making and strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Data Analytics, Pharmacy, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
• 1 year of experience; preferred three years in pharmacy healthcare finance, business analytics, pharmacy operations, revenue cycle, or healthcare data analysis.
• Experience working with large datasets and analytical tools.

Responsibilities

• Analyze pharmacy purchasing, utilization, dispensing, inventory, reimbursement, and claims data to evaluate operational and financial performance.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, scorecards, and KPIs for pharmacy leadership.
• Identify trends, variances, cost drivers, and performance improvement opportunities through routine data analysis.
• Perform ad hoc analyses to support strategic initiatives, operational decision-making, and executive reporting.
• Utilize reporting and analytics tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Epic, and other healthcare information systems.
