Job summary

ACHC is seeking a Pharmacy Associate to prep for accreditation surveys and educate stakeholders. The role focuses on ensuring readiness for virtual surveys in specialty, infusion, and overall accreditation readiness, collaborating with ACHC Advisors and Customer Care Specialists.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years as a Pharmacy Technician, with strong communication and knowledge of compounding, DMEPOS CMS compliance, and pharmacy operations. Office-based in NC with two remote days weekly.

Qualifications

• Active, certified Pharmacy Technician with 2+ years' experience in specialty, infusion, or 503a/503b compounding.
• Prior understanding of the pharmacy accreditation industry is preferred.
• Strong oral and written communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with non-sterile and sterile compounding, home infusion, DMEPOS CMS compliance is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and healthcare information systems.

Responsibilities

• Complete VICs with customers ahead of virtual surveys.
• Assist in selecting HR files for large health systems before surveys.
• Update VIC board and schedule VIC calls.
• Coordinate with scheduling on accommodation and survey dates.
• Review surveyor travel expenses above threshold.
• Educate pharmacy customers with Account Advisors.
• Interact with federal/state agencies and payers to educate stakeholders.
• Maintain current knowledge of USP and state/federal requirements.
• Provide standards interpretation for customers and staff.
• Participate in Pharmacy Review Committee.
• Review documents for accreditation and follow up with staff.
• Assist ACHC departments in projects.
